Pearl
Born and partly raised in southern Africa, Pearls love for music has existed since childhood. She grew up listening to various types of music but her love for soul and R&B has remained strong through the years.
After living in Denmark for a couple of years Pearl moved to Munich at the age of 18 where she got her first professional job as a backing vocalist, working for a known Afro American pop singer Joan Orleans. Besides that she became a member of the Munich gospel choir. This was a beginning to her endless efforts and dedication to making music.
By 2001, Pearl had not only become a singer but a promising songwriter. She started working with promising hip hop/R&B producers from Denmark, featured in a couple of compilations and performed her own songs. Though she failed to release her own material due to a couple of obstacles she remained determined and stayed true to her music.
In 2006 Pearl was invited to work in Moscow with a trip hop/lounge electronica group called VFSix. The project became a success and 2 singles were released. The 2 songs were played all over Russia.
Pearl is now working on her solo album and has joined forces with a couple of well established producers in Denmark as well as in the US, Canada and France.
Pearl has kept the soul and R&B vibe all the way but she opens up to a wider musical expression using elements from hip hop, electro, reggae, jazz and world to spice up her music, showing her different colours and complimenting her warm and unique voice.
